Gíddow was not so bright or
responsive this morning (October 27th, 2020). She seemed to enjoy her massage and red
light treatment but her breathing was laboured. We are heartbroken to say that she passed
away just now. We all had dreams of her having fun with our other dogs and learning that
life was worth living after the trauma she had endured but it was not to be.
She took a big piece of our hearts with her
and we owe it to her to work even harder to prevent this happening to animals of all
species. Rest in peace little girl.

This morning, October 26th, 2020, someone
reported a very sick dog on a rubbish tip. The staff went to find it. It was very sick and
weak and is probably one of the most emaciated dogs that we have seen that is still alive.
She was so weak she could not even raise her head.
She was immediately given intravenous fluids
and a small amount of food. As she had a high temperature she was given antibiotics. She
is terrified. One of our staff named her Giddow which means "my heart". By
evening she was much brighter but is still critically ill.
